This only shows how sick and how low we've come in this country. A liar, deceiver, money launderer, drug abuser, instigator, devisive, hypocrite, charlatan... It speaks volume about the so called republican party and radio in general. Shame, Shame, Shame!!!

All I can say is if you don't like what he has to say turn off the radio. He has about as much right to his opinions as anyone in the media. I can probably say that any of the media right now is not exactly stating the facts.

Yippee!!! I get to listen to Rush a few more hours! What a treat! And what a kick in the pants for the leftist loonies. They have had some talk radio programs, but hardly anybody listens. That's not surprising since they hardly ever have anything substantial to say. Rush deserves every dollar he gets, and more. He is truly enlightening the minds for a lot of people.

      Sally,

Imus is a blubbering old codger who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. And Rush, he's no more dangerous for this Country than my dead cat. It's the people who listen to him and believe in him that are dangerous........and weird.

Amazingly, Rush does have a few "skeletons" in his own closet. Very interesting....Google him....concentrate on him during his "rise" to stardom. I think you'll be surprised. It's Rush who had better hold on to something!!!!

Hamlet - 267954: Whether or not Rush was addicted to pain pills, is really beside the point. Anyone struggling with an addiction of any kind ought to be pitied, not berated and made fun of. Rush is worth every bit of the $38 million a year he will receive because he speaks the truth and is a conservative voice among all the liberal clap-trap people get fed daily by NBC, MSNBC, and some others I will not mention here.

No, only 20 million listeners daily. I'll tell who gets no audience. MSNBC, NBC, CBS and all rag newspapers. GO RUSH! You deserve each and every penny. Screw Liberals.

We will see just how influencial Rush is after the General Election. Then those folks that gave him that contract can go off in the corner and cry.

Salloy York: Make no mistake, in the unfortunate event that B. Hussein Obama would win the election in November, don't for a moment think that Rush will let up on him. In fact, I have an inkling that then the real fun will begin. And, millions upon millions will be listening. Rush will tear him apart and expose every hypocritical aspects of his person and much, much more. This is just a preview of attractions yet to come.

He preaches to the choir every day, because board minded people seeking the truth do not listen to him. He is a blowhard, hypocrite who loves the sound of his own voice and those that follow him sound to be the same.

Again I say if his influence is so great then McCain should be the Prez and I don't beleive he has that kind of wide influence.

Just think of the all the Oxycontin that he can buy now. It's time for a tax increase on all blow hard radio hosts making more than 400 million. Let's make it a 100% tax and use the money to help fix all the things that El Rusho and his Republican cohorts have f**k*d up over the past 8 years.

I have been a member of the military for 24 years and make $56,000 a year before taxes supporting a wife and three children. As a member of the Armed Forces, I have taken a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me. The oath includes placing the value of other people's lives above my own. I don't believe anyone deserves to make $38 million a year. What value is Rush Limbaugh adding to the state of our nation or humanity to deserve this? What a travesty! Thirty-eight million a year can buy a bunch of Oxycotin. I wish him well...maybe for this kind of cash he can do some live commentary from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Premiere Radio Networks, Inc., a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications (NYSE:CCU), syndicates 90 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliations and reaches over 190 million listeners weekly.

Premiere also carries Dr. Laura and FOX news, so they are creepy all the way around. But Clear Channel is pretty much a monopoly, they own so many stations.

Kim please get it right for ONCE...

Look up the definition of Fascism, and what a fascists government does and believes in, and you will find that Capitalism and Conservatism is in fact anti-Facist. Liberalism and socialism on the other hand is in-line with Fascist beliefs. (I.E. the state wanting to control all industry how it sees fit) Which is what Dems want to do, they have already said as much. I am all for reigning in some Monopolism but not the government taking control of private sector like that.

Read the book Liberal Fascism, it may open your eyes to misconceptions you have.

By the way, did you know Fascism was around BEFORE HITLER??? hmmm.. wonder why he is the prime example of Fascism now? Could it be to throw everyone off the trail of a party's secret agenda? "NO, We Democrats are not evil.. we just want to take control of industry, taxes, your paycheck, your social programs, and such. When we control your money it will be us telling you what car to buy, what house to buy, what job to have, what neighborhood you can afford to live in."

If that's not the best examples of Fascism to give you, then I have no idea what is a better one?

While you make valid points about fascism, the original poster was not incorrect in her usage of the term.

I just checked my Oxford dictionary and here are the definitions for "fascist:"
                              1. a person who supports fascism
                              2. a way of referring to sb. that you disapprove of because they have right-wing attitudes

They'll be scratching their heads with the 95% Landslide for Obama!!!!!!

The only chaos will be in the F A R rt. side of the Republican party. They've had their "say" for 8 years and got >4500 Americans killed and bankrupted the country while domestic issues were ignored!!!

Way to go, Rush! If there wasn't a market for him, he wouldn't garner such a huge salary. Obviously, there are enough advertising dollars to cover the expense. Rush succinctly words what many think. There is a lot less "hate" on Rush's show, than any of of liberal talk radio i hear.
Kudos, Rush! BTW, Rush does do a lot of fund raisers for the military and has been to Iraq & Afghanistan. We used to listen to him all the time in our ready-room when I was in the military.

David -293842: Rush deserves ever dollar he gets, and more. Millions listen to him daily and his sponsors are paying him because he is worth it. Put a liberal talk radio host on the air and the show will fizzle even before it began. Nobody listens to liberal talk radio, if there is such an animal. Go, Rush. We are listening to you!

That's because Liberals are more likely to listen to music. It has nothing to do with the validity of liberal talk shows. On either side it's a series of blowhards who put entirely too much stock in their own opinions.

I'm not sure why you conservatives like Rush so much. The Republicans need to get rid of him and Ann Coulter like the Democrats need to get rid of Michael Moore. The people on your side are already going to vote your way. A polarizing mascot will only serve to drive away those in the middle.

Mike - 290712: Get rid of Ann Coulter??? Why, she is my heroine! She is funny, pretty, smart, and right on with her political opinions. She has had numerous best sellers. Why are people buying her books if she is so off the wall? I do believe that she mainly writes her books to aggravate liberals and give them a few well deserved hissy fits. And, they take the bait since she has been getting so much flack from the left.

Ann Coulter, pretty? Good God, woman....have you seen her bones.
Look up the word "ANOREXIA" and you'll find her picture.
I'm sorry, Sonia but that is one spooky broad. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

I have heard his name, but trust me, I have never listened to any of his rantings. The first time I heard his name was in connection with drugs or something like that. I heard he was popping in a drug called oxycontin. I was shocked when I was told he was the darling of the Republicans. A drug addict! and a darling of Republicans? I thought they said they are the purists. By the way if some fools want to give their money to a drug addict, I have no qualms with that. This is a free country, a country where professed christians throw free money to a certified drug addict. Go limbaugh! you've got fools given you free money just to rant and rave. Take it and keep screaming Only in America!

Clearly, numerous left wingers read the story about "Rush," based on the comments at this site. I feel sorry for liberals: their always angry. Too bad. It's a wonderful and rewarding life if you are willing to work extremely hard. Only in America. God bless conservatives.

Liberals are always angry??????????? Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly - just to name a few and you're calling Liberals angry????????/ Geez, nothing like the pot calling the kettle black! But I'm a Liberal and I'm really angry. I'm angry that we are in a war that should never have taken place, where we invaded a country (America has never done anything like that before), I'm angry that the war was based on lies, lies and more lies. I'm angry that GW is still in office after all he has done to this country. I'm angry that he hasn't been impeached. I'm angry that he or Cheney or any of them up there don't care about American people. I'm angry that people like Limbaugh make so much money off hatred. Yes, I'm angry, but I wasn't angry until this administration got into office. Our country is a joke because of it. And we ALL work really hard to be fair and good people and not listen to a**holes like Limbaugh who skews things to his conservative bent. WE ARE AMERICANS and just because I'm a Democrat doesn't make me bad. You need to get off your high-horse and get a life.

Delta Joan....I could not have said it better myself, but somebody said it better than either of us the other night on TV. "Because of the Neo-cons, Americans are suffering from F**kup Fatigue". And it's not just Democrats who are tired of people like Rush stealing our Democracy. Look at t his Administration's approval ratings, sometime. Poor McCain is going to have to fight this "anti-Bush" sentiment all the way to November. I'm an older citizen and I can never remember a time when our country was in such bad shape and it's all due to the Republicans. We are spending 1 billion dollars every 36 hours in Iraq...4,000 Americans have died to get oil...and this is supposed to be a Christian President????....Our soldiers are not allowed to invade Pakistan in order to find BinLaden, over 300,000 people have lost their jobs since January...Our economy is in the toilet...look at the Stock Market, Americans are losing their homes at the greatest rate since the Depression.....AMERICA IS NO LONGER THE SUPER POWER IN THE WORLD. Thanks to Republicans and George Bush....Cheney...Rumsfeld....Rove....(I could go on and on and on and on).....

So those of you who defend these Neo-Cons need to learn to read....study history to see how bad it really is.

Rush Limbaugh is a real jerk. He is a liar and continually deceives the public. His views are distorted and he is the reason George W Bush was elected president. That alone is a good reason to stop listneing to this fool. Boycottall of his sponsors and lets get him off the air.
